There is absolutely nothing like a summer barbecue. Hot grills, cold beers, and friends all around. Well folks, prepare yourselves for a city-wide barbecue as RibFest comes back to the Kanawha Valley. The twelfth annual celebration will this time be located in South Charleston at the site of the old Union Carbide building. Yes, where one structure was destroyed, another is built. Running from July 29 - August 1, RibFest features world-class, award-winning vendors serving the very best BBQ ribs, chicken, and sauces you can wrap your lips around. ![]() Along with the spectacular food from vendors like, Carolina Rib King, Texas Pit Barbecue, and D.D. Stutz, there is also live music every night. Bands performing include The Cat Daddys, Stan McDaniel, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, native son The Rick Perdue Band, and more. A full enteratinment schedule can be found here. Even with ALL OF THAT, RibFest 2010 will offer a petting zoo, arts and crafts, carnival rides, and other attractions. Fun for the whole West Virginia family. So be sure to come down to South Charleston July 29 - August 1 for some good eats and good fun. ![]()
