Be honest with me now,  do you dance in the kitchen while doing the dishes?  Have you every been
busted by a friend/roommate gettin' your groove on while you thought nobody was watching?
Did you DVR the entire season of "So You Think You Can Dance" and "Glee"?   Do you think
that dancing clears the soul and is a direct conduit to whatever it is out in the universe that makes us happy?
If you answered yes or "have you been spying on me?" to any of the above questions, there is a great event
happening this weekend at the Charleston Town Center Mall that may be just what you need.

National Dance Day is upon us!  Here is how fox.com/dance describes the event;
"National Dance Day, a grassroots movement taking place on Saturday, July 31st that encourages the people
of this nation to get up and move, is being recognized with an official act of Congress.  Created by Nigel Lythgoe,
executive producer and co-creator of the hit FOX series SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE and founder of the
Dizzy Feet Foundation, the aim of National Dance Day is to promote health and self esteem through the art form of dance"

The local activity will take place this Saturday, July 31st from 12:00 PM - 7:30PM at the Macy's Court.  Local experienced
dancers can trip the light fantastic alongside beginners and even non-dancers in a celebration of joy, freedom and dance.Interested peoples can learn the choreography, or just come out and free-style to their heart's content.  Those interested in learning the choreography can visit Capital High School at 6:30 PM today, Thursday, July 29th or learn on their own at the website here.

Participants should not be discouraged about having to learn a dance, this event is about fun and celebration!  Come out to the mall, dance in the spotlight or tap your toes in the wings, but above all get up and move!

How did I not know about this? More importantly, how do you?
