A local favorite hailing from Silver Spring, MD, Lionize returns to Charleston after a brief tour with Clutch. Lionize has a unique take on old school. They combine rock and heavy reggae in a dark atmosphere to bring a surprising and entertaining twist on an oft over-visited genre. After only a year of regional tours and selling CD's at their gigs, Lionize has found the limelight next to headliners like Yellow Man, Hoobastank and Flogging Molly. Even with this apparent over-night success, they still cater to their loyal fanbase playing festivals, colleges and beloved local pubs like our own Empty Glass. Touring over 250 dates in the past 2 years, its amazing that such an up and coming band will return to roots and still play smaller venues, be sure to get out and see them before they are too big to return to our little burg in the hills. Lionize Wednesday, July 28th 10PM The Empty Glass 410 Elizabeth St Charleston, Wv 304-345-9893
